This policy is designed to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 (DPDP Rules), as well as align with international data protection standards including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws for our international participants.

4.4 Payment and Financial Information

Ticketing and registration services are managed by UiSER Innovations Pvt Ltd. Payment information is processed through secure third-party payment providers including Eventum, Razorpay, Stripe, and other similar services. We do not store complete payment card details. We may retain transaction records, billing addresses, and purchase confirmations as required by Indian tax and accounting regulations.

  • IP address and device information
  • Browser type, operating system, and device identifiers
  • Website usage data, including pages visited, time spent, and navigation patterns

7.2 Sponsors and Partners

Important

Sponsors and partners will only receive your personal data where you have provided explicit, informed consent.
  • Aggregated data (default): Sponsors receive anonymized, aggregated insights and analytics that do not identify individuals
  • Identifiable data (opt-in only): If you consent (e.g., through badge scanning or registration opt-in), sponsors may receive your name, organization, and contact details for follow-up purposes

You maintain full control over sponsor data sharing. You may opt out at any time by contacting us or adjusting your preferences in your registration account.

7.3 Legal and Regulatory Authorities

We may disclose personal data to government agencies, law enforcement, or regulatory authorities when required by Indian law, court order, or legal process, or when necessary to:

  • Comply with legal obligations

As UXINDIA is a global conference with international speakers, sponsors, and attendees, your personal data may be transferred to, processed, or stored in countries outside India, including countries that may not offer the same level of data protection as India.

If the Government of India issues any notification restricting data transfer to specific countries, we will comply accordingly.

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy or as required by law.

  • Event registration and participation data: Up to 3 years after the event, to support alumni engagement and historical records
  • Speaker submissions and materials: Retained for current and future event consideration, unless you request deletion
  • Financial and tax records: Retained as required by Indian accounting and tax regulations (typically 7 years)
  • Marketing and newsletter data: Retained until you withdraw consent or unsubscribe
  • Website analytics and technical data: Typically retained for 26 months (Google Analytics default)

After the retention period expires, we will securely delete or anonymize your personal data, unless we have a legal obligation to retain it longer.

We will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected individuals within 72 hours of becoming aware of a breach, providing details such as:

Speaker-Specific Terms

By submitting a proposal or speaking at UXINDIA 2026, you consent to the following:

14.1 Use of Speaker Information

  • Your name, biography, professional profile, and headshot may be published on our website, event programs, and promotional materials
  • Your presentation materials, slides, and content may be shared with attendees and used for educational purposes

14.2 Recording and Publication

  • Sessions may be recorded (video and/or audio)
  • Recordings may be published for promotional, archival, and educational use on our website, social media channels, and third-party platforms (e.g., YouTube)
  • Professional photos of your session may be taken and used in marketing materials

Children's Privacy and Age Restrictions

UXINDIA events are intended for individuals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18 without parental or guardian consent.

Under India's DPDPA, individuals under the age of 18 are considered children. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to participate in our events or provide personal data.

If we learn that we have inadvertently collected data from a minor without proper consent, we will take steps to delete such information as soon as possible.
