Hotel

How can i book my hotel accommodation with discounts?

Novotel HICC and OYO have been our hospitality partners.
You can book Novotel (at venue) for INR 5,500/night (Single occupancy) and INR 7,500/night (Double occupancy). You can book the rooms as part of the Ticket buying for the conference.

OYO – You will get 30% discount if you book your accommodation through OYO Rooms by using the exclusive code

Is it mandatory to book hotel rooms while registering?
No. Booking a hotel room at Novotel HICC is optional. You can skip the hotel page in the process of buying tickets to the conference.
Is the hotel cost included in the registration cost?
Hotel cost is not covered in any of the categories. For hotel, you have to pay 5500+18% GST per night (Single occupancy) and 7500+18% GST per night (Double occupancy) while registering. If you don’t want to book a hotel you can skip that page.
I have already registered but forgot to book my room. How can I book my room now?

Design X Social & Design X Awards

What is the difference between Design x Social and Design X Awards?

Design X social is a design contest and it is based on a theme “Public Safety & Well Being in Transportation” . A group of 3-5 members can participate.

Design X awards – Enterprises, Startups, design agencies and students can participate. They can submit their best design projects for the awards.

How much do I have to pay for Design X Social or Design X Awards?
There is no entry fee to participate in Design X social and Design X Awards. However, all the team members supposed to register for the conference. For Design X Awards, Enterprises and agencies must register in the Elite category. Students and Startups can register in any category.
Can I send my individual entry for design X social challenge?

You can participate in design X social contest only as a team of 3-5 members. If you do not have a team, you can post it in our UXINDIA FB group https://facebook.com/groups/uxindia.org

I registered to the conference. Do I have to pay to participate in the Design X Social and Design X Awards?
No. You don’t have to pay anything. You are most welcome to participate.

What is Standard, Premium & Elite ?

What is the difference between Standard and premium?

The main difference is the content and target audience.
Standard (Foundation)- This category is mainly for beginners and students
Premium (Intermediate) – This category is for ux designers with less than 5 years experience

What is the difference between Premium and Elite?

The main difference is the content and target audience.
Premium (Intermediate) – This category is for ux designers with less than 5 years experience
Elite (Expert)- This category is mainly for design experts more than 5 years experience. Number of people in the workshops would be less than 50. Welcome dinner along with speakers on 8th Sept is included.

Can I get any discounts if I come as an organization?

You will get a 20% discount on group registrations (4 or more people). For discount code please drop an email to [email protected]

I attended the previous year. Do I get discount?
Yes! You will get a 20% discount.

Registrations

I need an invoice before I pay, what should I do?
Send us an email at [email protected] with delegate details along with details to whom the invoice needs to be raised and in which category (Standard/Premium/Elite). We will send you an estimate invoice
Can I register at the venue?
Yes, you can register at the venue. You can check the walk-in prices (Pay at Venue) on the “Register” page. We may have just a few walk-in passes which will be given out on a first come first serve basis.
What if I need to cancel my registration/send someone else in my place?
For cancellations before August 20th, registration fees will be refunded by 50%
For cancellations after August 20th, there will be no refund on the registration fees.
There will be no refund if you do not show up for the event.
Transfers: The registration can easily be transferred to someone else, we just need a written notice 10 days prior to the event so we can make the necessary adjustments.

How can I choose one workshop among the parallelly happening workshops?
We will send you a form to choose workshops prior to the conference.
What is the dress code for the conference?
There is no dress code as such for the conference but we request that you be dressed smart and presentable as this happens to be a professional gathering.
How do I reach the venue?

Do I need to carry my Laptop / any other material?
It depends on the workshop you have selected. Make sure that you have the data on your mobile to connect hotspot. Carrying your registration pass is mandatory.
Will I get a certificate of participation?
Yes, definitely. You’ll be given a certificate of participation signed by the workshop leader and watermarked by UsabilityMatters.Org for all the workshops you have participated in.
