Code of conduct

We at UXIndia conference treat every member as a part of our cohesive family, we are dedicated to provide a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, disability, gender identity and expression, body size, race, ethnicity,  age, sexual orientation, physical appearance, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. Sexual language and imagery is not acceptable for any conference event. Conference participants violating this rule may be either sanctioned or expelled from the conference without any refund.

Non-acceptable behaviours

Harassment includes any offensive physical contact and verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, physical appearance, age, sexual orientation, body size, race, religion, ethnicity, technology choices. The display of sexual images in public spaces, stalking, harassing photography or recording, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention are included as well.

Exhibitors & Sponsors

Exhibitors in the expo hall, sponsor or vendor booths, or similar activities are equally subject to the anti-harassment policy. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualized clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualized environment.

Participants

If a participant is caught harassing, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, ranging from warning the offender to expulsion from the conference with no refund.

Need help?

At our event, if you are harassed or notice someone else being harassed, please contact any of the event organizers or volunteers immediately. They will be clearly visible, wearing “Volunteer” T-shirts / or badges.

Conference staff will help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference. We value your security.
